3rd Dorset Premier League Groundhop

Dear all

The third Dorset Premier League Groundhop will take place on Saturday 22 September 2007. The hop will feature three matches from the Dorset Premier League, and for ease of travelling, we’ve crammed it all into just one day.

We kick off at 10.30am at Churchill Close, home of Sturminster Marshall, followed by a trip to Poole Borough’s Turlin Moor at 1.15pm. The hop rounds off with a visit to Penny’s Lane, the home ground of Cranborne, at 4.45pm

All the usual Hop arrangements will be in place, including advance tickets, coach travel, and hotel accommodation. However – hotel accommodation is strictly limited. Bournemouth hosts the Labour party conference that weekend, and hotel rooms in the area are at a premium. At the moment, hotel bookings can only be made with coach travel. It is ESSENTIAL that you check hotel availability with me BEFORE booking. Our hotel is way out of Bournemouth – in fact, it isn’t even in Dorset. We have relocated to the beautiful town of Fordingbridge, just on the edge of the New Forest (and only six miles from our last game at Cranborne). However, this is a fantastic opportunity to use the coach. Not only will we pick up and drop off at Bournemouth Railway Station for those coming for the day by train, but those coming by car can easily park in Fordingbridge and be whisked around in comfort for the day, knowing they can get away early after the last game. We have made this Hop the most “coach friendly” as possible to try and boost numbers.

Match tickets are available in advance, and are priced at just £10 for coach users. This gives admission and programmes for all three Dorset Premier League matches. Tickets for those who insist on taking the car will be priced at £12.

This time, we are again using electronic booking – you may complete a form electronically and email it to me, or alternatively just contact me with your choice of options. Unfortunately that does mean that you have to mail me a cheque, but as we’ll include the tickets in your Hop pack (along with all your programmes!), you don’t need to send me an SAE. Everything you will need can then be collected on the Saturday morning. Just in case you’re wondering about directions, there won’t be any (apart from “use the coach”!!)
